Lahore Lion attack: Maryam Nawaz takes notice, announces compensation for victims

A lion kept at a private farmhouse in Shah Di Khoi, Johar Town, Lahore, escaped by jumping over a wall and attacked passersby, injuring a woman and two children.
Initial police investigations revealed that the enclosure gate was left open, allowing the lion to enter a residential area.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz took immediate notice of the incident, expressed concern over the victims’ condition, and announced financial assistance of Rs. 500,000 each for the injured.
Further investigations are underway, and legal action against the farmhouse owner is being considered.
